      Kayla Beard is a lyric soprano currently based in Knoxville, Tennessee. She has garnered praise for “offering gorgeous vocal power and clarity, and the right comedic combination of flirtatious domination.” Arts Knoxville also praised her “ability to make beautiful rhythmical sense out of… recitative-like dialog.” Recent credits include Susanna in “Le Nozze di Figaro,” and Dorothea Brooks in “Middlemarch in Spring” with the University of Tennessee Opera Theater, Sœur Anne de La Croix in Harrower Opera Workshop’s "Dialogues des Carmélites" and 2nd Cercatrice and Genovieffe cover in Marble City Opera's Suor Angelica.

In addition to her singing career, Kayla has taught voice and piano lessons for 13 years, is the Administrative Director for Marble City Opera and enjoys recitals and community outreach projects that allow members of the community to connect with each other through music.
